The North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership (CRP) brings together a number of local authorities and a train operating company with the intention of promoting the growth of rail services on the Crewe to Derby railway line.
The Partnership is seeking someone with the appropriate skills and experience to fill the CRP Officer post. The post-holder will co-ordinate delivery of a range of projects and schemes, reporting to the Management Group.
Responsibilities include managing a large number of station volunteers who help to maintain our wonderful local stations; devising and delivering promotional campaigns; ensuring partners are informed of current issues; and delivering an annual action plan as agreed by partners. There will also be responsibility for a small working budget which is allocated to this post, whilst identifying and bidding for additional funding streams will also be required.
Whilst a detailed knowledge of the rail industry is not required, the post holder would benefit from some knowledge of the local rail network and be prepared to obtain further knowledge in a short timescale.
The post will suit someone with strong organisational abilities who is also a skilled and clear communicator with a wide range of colleagues and external parties.

The post holder will be based in Stoke-on-Trent within Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Safe & Sustainable Transport Team.
Salary pro rata: £19,068- £20,781
