I was elected Chair at the inaugural meeting of the board of the North Notts & Lincs Community Rail Partnership (NNLCRP) in February 2017.

NNLCRP has achieved a number of successes. The most significant, securing a commitment to an hourly train service, six days a week between Sheffield and Gainsborough Central, scheduled for introduction in May 2019, was achieved by bringing council and train operating partners together. Gainsborough Central has, since 1993, only had a parliamentary service one day a week.

I firmly believe that working in partnership can achieve more than working individually.

I spent 19 years at London Transport, joining as planner and working in operations, finance (appraising capital projects) and finally as head of the Public Relations Strategy Team. As Chair of the London Transport Area of the British Transport Officers Guild, the management trade union, I was able to develop my negotiation and collaboration skills.

Following an opportunity to leave the transport industry, I became self-employed in the film and music businesses. This included starting a record label which has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Visit http://www.eavb.co.uk/

In the same year that I joined London Transport I volunteered at the Bluebell Railway, becoming General Secretary, where I was instrumental in a successful £3.25m HLF bid.

To the ACoRP board, I would bring financial, planning, communication, negotiating and administrative skills as well as experience.
