We’re delighted to be fundraising for two fantastic causes, Fearless and The Tree Council, as our chosen charities at this year’s Community Rail Awards.
Instead of the annual game of ‘Heads & Tails’, if you’d like to make a donation, simply visit our JustGiving pages for Fearless and The Tree Council. You can do this any time before or during the event on 9 December.
Fearless
Fearless does vital work to educate and empower young people so they can make positive, informed decisions about reporting crime. It gives them a voice to speak up about crime, safely and 100% anonymously, when they feel they have nowhere else to turn.
The Fearless youth service is run by Crimestoppers and has previously collaborated with Severnside CRP to produce a stunning station mural in Bristol. It is currently focused on the dangers of county lines drug running, highlighted in this powerful film.
The Tree Council
The Tree Council inspires people to work together for the love of trees. It has been bringing tree champions together for over 40 years, recognising that trees do so much for us, but they need our help too!
Their latest campaign is National Tree Week. This year, while people can’t gather to plant and care for trees in the usual way, they have produced a fantastic programme of free art and culture events to celebrate trees, which you can find here. They also focus on a wide range of activities connected with our railways.
