Rail users take notice at East Sussex’s Crowborough Station

Spencer Miller casting a keen eye over Crowborough Station’s new noticeboard

A railway station in East Sussex is now set up to alert local rail users to the services of local community organisations.

A community noticeboard, funded by Community Rail Network has been installed at Crowborough Station with the intended use to provide a space for local support groups to publicise their services to the community.

The noticeboard is available to use on a monthly basis rota, with local groups making their bookings through station staff, Spencer Miller. Spencer is a keen supporter of local community activity and worked tirelessly providing support to local groups during the recent lockdown. During this period, the noticeboard was used to promote practical help and information about help services that were available for residents. Now, as things return to a new normality, the station has once again made the noticeboard available for local groups..

First to take advantage of the space is Clued Up, a youth-centric organisation, providing life advice and assistance to young people between the ages of 11 and 25 in the Crowborough area.
