Community rail officer – Heart of Wales Line

  • Location: This position is currently home-based, but requiring frequent access to sites along the Heart of Wales Line, which runs from Swansea to Shrewsbury.
  • Job term: Permanent, subject to successful project compliance and funding.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days with some flexible working and evening/weekend duties.
  • Closing date: 5pm, Monday 22 February 2021

An exciting opportunity is available for a creative, proactive and self-motivated individual to join the Heart of Wales Line Development Company to deliver a wide range of community engagement and promotional activities for the community rail partnership.

You will work closely with the board, key stakeholders and the community to help shape, plan and manage the priorities and activities of the community rail partnership and the 21-23 Vision Plan focusing on ‘active leisure’ along the line.

The partnership is looking for an outgoing people person with excellent communication, networking and partnership development who has a passion for social and economic development, community engagement and sustainable, healthy and accessible travel.
