Working closely with the train operator Northern Rail, Derbyshire County Council and other local councils, the Peak National Park Authority as well as the many voluntary groups which make up the partnership, the successful applicant will play a key role in promoting rail services and increasing community involvement in the railway.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are therefore essential, along with a ‘can do’ attitude. A basic understanding of the rail industry would also be helpful but not essential.
