The Rail Delivery Group is asking stakeholders, MPs and anyone else who is generally supportive of the railway to get involved in an initiative they’re calling #RailToRecovery.
The purpose of the activity is to demonstrate that people are out taking the train because it is safe and that doing so brings social good – for the economy, the environment etc. Rail Delivery Group is asking people to print out their call to action sign (download here), write something about the benefits their journey will bring (e.g. ‘to support my local businesses’ or ‘to reduce road congestion’ or ‘to shop in my local high street’) and then share a picture of themselves on social media with the sign at a station or on a train using the hashtag #RailToRecovery.
Take a look at how Community Rail Network’s Paul Webster has been supporting the campaign.
