Station adoption: a guide for the local community
Station adoption: a guide for the local community has been developed by Community Rail Network to assist new station adoption groups looking to get established and existing groups that are looking for specialist information. It outlines the concept of station adoption within community rail, as well as providing guidance in areas such as establishing a new station adoption group, funding & finance, health & safety requirements, and engaging communities. Within the guide you will find examples and ideas for future development, and advice on how to get ideas off the ground, working with the rail industry.
Connected stations

Connected stations: a guide to community-led station travel planning, has been developed by the Community Rail Network and West Midlands railway as a guide and set of resources to help you work with the rail industry in delivering successful station travel plans to create ‘connected stations’ at the heart of communities and sustainable transport networks.
