Sally Whitehead

Part time. Working hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs PM and Fri.

Sally is responsible for coordinating our ‘Travelling with Confidence’ programme; a two-year initiative aimed at empowering disabled people to use the railway, and connected modes, with confidence.

Sally’s most recent role was as project manager of Mencap’s national ‘Let’s Get Digital’ project, and she has previously worked for local charities delivering independence projects for people with disabilities, including travel training. Prior to this, she spent 20 years as a teacher, primarily working with young people with complex needs. She is passionate about accessibility, inclusivity and equitable opportunities for all.

She is also a vegetarian, cat-loving bookworm.
