The Arts Society seeks community rail help to develop series of trails

The Arts Society are looking to work together with community rail partnerships and station volunteer groups to help develop a series of ‘Trails of Discovery’.

Each self-guided trail will highlight interesting things to see from the train window and showcase hidden gems and points of interest beyond the stations, encouraging people to travel by train and discover the art, history, architecture and culture of the area.

Recently working with Devon & Cornwall Rail Partnership, The Arts Society have developed two ‘Trails of Discovery’ along the Tamar Valley Line and St Ives Bay Line. You can download these trails below:

Tamar Valley Trail – Plymouth to Gunnislake

St Ives Bay Trail – St Erth to St Ives

The Arts Society are keen to work with community rail partnerships and station volunteer groups to develop more trails across Britain and expand the series. If this is something you’d like to get involved with please email: alice@communityrail.org.uk.
