New focus for ‘Women Who Wander’ project

25 Apr, 2019

Women Who Wander is a unique writing project created by Community Rail Lancashire, engaging women and girls to experience and influence rail use and industry, promoting and publishing their views of rail experiences, use and employment. Read about more about the project here.

In 2020, the project will be focussing on women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and will be seeking other community rail partnerships and community rail groups who may be interested in leading their own Women Who Wander trips. Community Rail Lancashire will provide interested community rail partnerships with a fully-structured programme to follow, as well as all relevant resources to lead a group, and contact details for industry links (where required). Contact Daisy Chapman Chamberlain at info@downtheline.org.uk, daisy.chamberlain@btconnect.com or visit the dedicated project web page for more information.

Poetry and stories featured in the Women Who Wander booklet were showcased on International Women’s Day (8 March), at the Museum of Liverpool. You can view highlights from the 2019 event in the video above.
