The next Community Rail Education Network will take place on Thursday 16 February, 10am-12pm. Representatives from Transpennine Express, Freightliner, Siemens, Thales and Porterbrook will be in attendance to discuss the lesser known roles within the rail industry, so that community rail officers can share this information when doing careers education work in schools.

Please note, members of the Network will soon receive a survey from Karen Bennett, Chair of the Education Network and Education and Youth Engagement Advisor at Community Rail Network, to support her review of the work undertaken within community rail on education and youth engagement. The results of the short survey will inform the work Karen undertakes whilst on her secondment with Community Rail Network, whether this be signposting officers to examples of good practice or supporting community rail partnerships with education work.
