Community Rail Awards 2027

Welcome to the Community Rail Awards 2027, celebrating the outstanding people, projects and partnerships that make a real difference across Britain. Our Awards recognise the dedication, innovation and collaboration of community rail partnerships and station volunteer groups who work together to connect communities with their railway.

We’re delighted to announce that the Community Rail Awards will be held on Thursday 4 March 2027 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Northern and TransPennine Express will be joining us as joint headline partners for what promises to be another fantastic opportunity to bring our grassroots movement together, celebrate our achievements and look ahead to the future of community rail. 

Milestone Dates:

Early August – Awards Hub opens – to assist members in preparing for submitting entries.

Tuesday 1 September – Entries and event bookings open

Wednesday 30 September – Entries close

Wednesday 9 December – Shortlist announced

Monday 8 February – Event bookings close

Thursday 4 March – Gala ceremony
