Southeast Communities Rail Partnership (SCRP) has added the Hounslow to Richmond Line to its portfolio.
The SCRP team recently met with newly appointed line officer Michael Olden and the Partnership’s steering group to discuss the top priorities, and ideas for new projects are already underway.
These include reaching out to local groups to invite them on ‘try the train’ trips, supporting the work on the Access for All plans for Isleworth, and leading a community art project along the line.
Fiona Morton, CEO of Southeast Communities Rail Partnership, said: “As home to many jazz, rock, and pop legends, the Hounslow to Richmond route is truly the music line, which presents the opportunity to host many entertaining community events.
“The steering group members were very generous with their contacts, offering great opportunities to make long-lasting connections to volunteers in the local area who have already established bee-friendly gardens and created art exhibitions at stations.
“Visit Richmond also hopes to make sure everyone knows about the hidden gems on this riverside route and is looking forward to making the CRP a vital partner in this work.”
