The Community Rail Education Network brings together members that are interested in engaging schools, young people and community groups with community rail.
The sessions provide members with an opportunity to support each other in connecting communities with their railways, educating children and young people on safety, careers, and sustainability whilst giving them the confidence to travel.
As well as offering a forum to share ideas, advice, and feedback in relation to educational engagement in community rail, the Network has devised and promoted a host of educational resources and projects, many of which can be found on our webpage.
The next Education Network session will be held on Wednesday 20 November at 10am and all Community Rail Network members and those interested in railway education are welcome to join. Attendees will have the chance to look at the range of educational and youth engagement resources shared by members throughout this year, as well as discussing topics they would like the Education Network to cover in 2025.
If you’re interested in attending a future session, please get in touch with Karen (education and youth engagement advisor) on karen@communityrail.org.uk.
All notes, resources and recordings from previous meetings are available to view on the Education Network website.
