The Community Rail Education Network met on Wednesday 25 June and heard from Leeds Rhinos, about how community rail partnerships and station groups can deliver interactive and engaging rail safety lessons through sport and physical activity. The recording and resources from the meeting can be found here: PE/Games and Rail Education – TrainEd.
The next session will be held on Wednesday 16 July, 11am-12pm, where attendees will have the chance to learn more about working with LGBTQ+ groups, and how to engage meaningfully with different diverse groups. Attendees will also be able to hear more about the process of putting together the 200 Stories of Railway Pride project.
All notes, resources and recordings from previous meetings are available to view on the Education Network website.
The Education Network is open to anyone with an interest in railway education. If you would like to join the Network and attend any of the upcoming meetings, or if you have any education or youth engagement matters you would like to discuss, please contact Karen Bennett on karen@communityrail.org.uk.
