Travel support & attendance bursaries
We are committed to making the Community Rail Awards as inclusive and accessible as possible. To support this aim we are pleased to offer the following, on a first-come-first-served basis:
- A limited number of complimentary rail tickets, courtesy of Rail Delivery Group – shortlistees can apply for two complimentary, flexible return rail tickets to the Awards presentation event in Leeds.
- A limited number of attendance bursaries – shortlistees can apply for a bursary, to support individuals and groups who may otherwise face financial barriers to attending the Awards presentation event. Note: these bursaries are only issued to shortlistees, where their train operator is unable to support their accommodation/other expenses, and where they do not have access to other funds for this purpose.
