Rail reform and Great British Railways: an update on recent discussions and opportunities for community rail

Community Rail Network members are invited to join us for a presentation by Jools Townsend, our outgoing chief executive, on recent high-level discussions on rail reform and community rail, plus an extended discussion session on the opportunities ahead of us. 

Jools will provide an overview of:

• How Community Rail Network has been feeding into the thinking around rail reform, Great British Railways and the Long-Term Rail Strategy
• Core recommendations we have developed on the rail industry’s support of community rail, and how we believe our movement can be further empowered
• Key opportunities we see for community rail to help shape a more inclusive, sustainable, community-orientated railway
