Discover how community rail can get involved with tourist guiding

Is your community rail partnership or station group interested in learning more about tourist guiding?

Community Rail Network members are invited to join the next Tourism Network session on Wednesday 29 January, 10-11.30am, where guest speaker Nigel Rundstrom, a director of the Institute of Tourist Guiding, will be introducing attendees to the world of tourist guides and sharing how community rail can get involved at a local level.

The Institute of Tourist Guiding is the regulatory body for professional tourism guiding, developing, maintaining and promoting standards of excellence. Find out more about the Institute of Tourist Guiding and how they work with local attractions here.

The upcoming Tourism Network session will be ideal for those who already provide guided walking tours or those interested in doing so in the future, as you’ll hear about how you can work with (or become) a coveted Blue, Green or White Tourist Guide in your local area.

If you’re interested in joining this session, please get in touch with Alice (campaigns and leisure promotions coordinator) on alice@communityrail.org.uk.
