Passengers invited to take part in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ treasure hunt on North Downs Line

Passengers are being invited to hunt for clues on the North Downs Line this Easter to find some quirky Alice in Wonderland ‘treasures.’

The Treasure Hunt, on the route between Reading and Redhill, runs until Sunday, April 24th and is suitable for families with children aged seven and upwards.

Entrants can travel between Redhill and Guildford to solve seven clues en route and a further three clues on foot in Guildford on a special ‘Alice Excursion’. Seven more clues can be found on the journey between Guildford and Reading, and three on a trip through Reading’s Abbey Quarter.

Tickets for the journey need to be purchased from Great Western Railway (GWR), and the winners will receive four return train tickets to anywhere on the GWR network.

All details for the event, which is being run by Southeast Communities Rail Partnership, can be found here www.southeastcrp.org/treasurehunt/
