Settle-Carlisle Railway launch Summer of Fun campaign

The Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company (SCRDC) have launched their Summer of Fun campaign on social media, to promote tourism along the railway line.

The aim of the Summer of Fun campaign is to encourage tourism along the Settle-Carlisle railway, and support local business during the summer months.

Katie Chesworth, Projects and Social Media Manager of the SCRDC, said: “As a community rail partnership, one of our roles is to work in partnership with the rail industry, local businesses, community groups and organisations to encourage socio-economic engagement along the world-renowned Settle-Carlisle railway.

“Covid has had a huge impact on businesses in the area, and the aim of our Summer of Fun campaign is to encourage our passengers to visit the Eden Valley and Yorkshire Dales and have great day trips out in the area. We’d love to have our passengers join in, sharing their trips along the railway using #SettleCarlisleSummerOfFun.”

Over the next few weeks, SCRDC will be sharing day trip ideas on social media, using #SettleCarlisleSummerOfFun. Check out their Facebook page to discover more.
