Station Connections art exhibition heads to city centre station

Please note this event is cancelled. Keep an eye out on the CRPs websites, links below, for the rescheduled dates.

Crewe to Manchester CRP and South East Manchester CRP will be hosting an exhibition of the latest commissioned artwork by Eamonn Murphy at Manchester Piccadilly Station on 15 & 16 September.

The artwork, by local artist Eamonn Murphy, reflects the style of the UK’s classic travel posters of the 1920s and 1930s. They celebrate places of interest accessible from railway stations in Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Manchester Piccadilly is just the latest stop for the exhibition, being displayed previously at Crewe Heritage Centre as part of Community Rail Week celebrations, where it stayed for a few weeks and more recently being exhibited at Handford Station as part of the Handforth Village Art Trail until 11 September.

The Station Connections exhibition will be on the concourse of Manchester Piccadilly Station on 15 & 16 September (10.30am – 1.30pm).

You can hear more about the work of the CRPs on their websites: Crewe to Manchester CRP and South East Manchester CRP.
