Station Waiting Room Art Gallery back in action at Glossop

John Kimpton’s work on display at Glossop’sStation Waiting Room Art Gallery

After a short pause due to coronavirus restrictions the Station Waiting Room Art Gallery at Derbyshire’s Glossop Station is back in action. Since its inception in 2015 the gallery has hosted over 30 displays by local artists. The current photographic display is by John Kimpton one of Friends of Glossop Station‘s own members. This is the first time this has occurred and we are proud to showcase John’s work. He is known in Glossop for taking distinctive photos of animals, flowers and scenery.

John has also included in the selection photos of a steam traction engine that he once proudly owned for 42 years. And in the accompanying text the its history is told. Bookings for the rest of 2021 are now coming in and once again we will be reflecting the diverse range of Glossopdale artistic talent.

The Waiting Room is open every day from the start of service to around 18.30. ( 17.00 Sundays)

The station friends look forward to welcoming visitors once again to the Waiting Room, and thank Northern for its ongoing support of this venture.
