Supporting young entrepreneurial talent with Heart of England CRP

Heart of England Community Rail Partnership (CRP) is set to support the upcoming Young Enterprise Company Programme Christmas Trade Fair.

Schools from Warwickshire and the broader Midlands region will converge at Coventry Boulevard on Saturday 9 December, 10am – 2pm, to participate in the Company Programme, an initiative aimed at empowering young people aged 13 to 19 to set up and run their own student companies. Under the mentorship of local business volunteers, students take charge of their businesses, making decisions ranging from branding to financial management.

The trade fair offers a unique opportunity for the public to explore and support the products and services crafted by the young entrepreneurs. From innovative gadgets to artisanal creations, the event promises a diverse range of offerings that capture the spirit of young enterprise.

Julia Singleton-Tasker, CRP Officer at the Heart of England CRP, said: “It’s a privilege to be able to support the young entrepreneurs in their Young Enterprise Trade Fair. With thanks to funding from Avanti West Coast, we’re able to demonstrate how the railways can continue to support their communities and provide opportunities for groups such as Young Enterprise.”

Grace Perks, Coventry and Warwickshire Manager at Young Enterprise, said: “We are thrilled to see the Warwickshire Trade Fair come to life, providing a platform for young minds to not only showcase their innovative ideas but also to gain invaluable practical business experience.”
