Survey seeks people’s experiences and expectations of combining cycling with rail

The Cycle Rail Working Group has released a new survey to gather people’s experiences and expectations of combining cycling with rail.

The Cycle Rail Working Group brings together the rail industry and other interested parties seeking to make it easier to combine cycling and rail travel. It is supported by Active Travel England and management support is provided by Sustrans, a charity seeking to make it easier for people to walk and cycle.

Transport consultants SYSTRA have been commissioned by the Cycle Rail Working Group to produce a new guidance document on linking cycling and rail. As part of this project, they want to hear from people who currently combine cycling and rail, or, who may do so in the future (if, for example, there were more secure cycle parking at their local station).

The feedback from respondents will be used to help produce new guidance on good practice for those planning for making it easier to marry these two forms of transport.

The survey is open until 9am on Monday 9 January, and can be accessed here.
