Gary Shipp

Part-time. Working days: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri.

Gary’s role is to help our members develop and deliver effective projects in key areas, by increasing ambition, opportunities and knowledge in community rail, sharing good practice, enabling replication and learning, bringing in wider expertise, and seeking to break down common challenges. By managing this developing part of our support & development team, this role aims to advance and accelerate community rail activity and impact, especially in creating more sustainable, equitable, integrated transport and communities and enabling inclusive, accessible, healthy and socially valuable access to and use of rail and stations.

Gary enjoys walking, running, and cycling. He is currently completing the Southwest coast path in stages, using public transport to access the route.
