Ian Dinmore

Board member

Ian is from a professional railway and local government background. Currently, he works as a freelance consultant for local authorities, businesses, and the rail industry, consulting on innovative travel and sustainable transport issues.

As a member of the Wherry Lines CRP, he brings to the board a wealth of experience from his knowledge of the national rail network, local authorities, and how today’s local government and rail industry works. Ian has been involved in community railways since 1980 when he worked on the Tarka Line. His passions are rural railway branch lines, photography, and collecting historic railway documents.
