For the remainder of the current financial year (2020/21) ending 31 March 2021, under the current Emergency Measures Recovery Agreement, TransPennine Express (TPE) have over £27k of funding available for community rail partnerships connected to their network across the North of England and in Scotland to apply for. TPE are delighted to advise you that bids for this funding are now being accepted.
If you have a project that you would like to put forward for potential funding that:
- Improves the interchange experience for customers at a TransPennine Express managed station which connects directly into a CRP route, or
- Provides a targeted approach that will increase customers interchanging between a CRP route and a TransPennine Express service
TPE are interested in all schemes that fit either of the above criteria, particularly those that will encourage greater customer numbers over the Spring/Summer (assuming Coronavirus restrictions are eased) or provide a small but significant improvement to the experience of customers at stations.
The application process is easy. Simply send an e-mail to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org outlining your scheme making sure it meets either or both of the above criteria, an outline of costs involved and details of any matched funding (cash not time/hours). If they have any queries, TPE will come back to you, so please don’t worry about an extensive application – they want the application process to be easily accessible so that they get to know about your ideas.
The closing date for the submission of bids is Friday 15 January 2021 and we will be looking to complete the assessment process by the end of February, with payments made by the end of March. If you have any queries please feel free to make contact.
