Women in Community Rail has celebrated the recent Volunteers Week, with a slight twist.

Due to Covid restrictions, plans for tea parties at stations around the UK to celebrate the hard work community rail volunteers contribute, had to be postponed. Undeterred, WiCR sought and provided a solution whereby volunteers could still be celebrated… and still get their tea party.

WiCR distributed goody bags to station volunteers containing a teabag and a piece of cake. A WiCR pen was thrown in for good measure! The station volunteers were delighted with their gifts and with the sun shining, able to celebrate Volunteers Week in style.
