How you can take part in a week-long celebration of sustainable transport (12-18 June)

Better Transport Week is a key part of Campaign for Better Transport’s 50th anniversary year and they’re inviting community rail to get involved!

The campaign will be launched on Monday 12 June with a focus on our railways. ‘Rail Day’ will see members of Campaign for Better Transport meeting passengers at Kings Cross St Pancras, hosting a rail roundtable at the Railway Industry Association, and inviting the public to celebrate train travel and rail stations.

Community rail partnerships and station groups play a vital role in emphasising the importance of transport in connecting communities, unlocking economic prosperity, and combating air pollution and the climate crisis – which is why we want you to get involved.

If you’d like to take part in a week of celebrating public transport (including Bus and Coach Day, Local Transport Day and Health Day), take a look at the Better Transport Week brochure for all the details on how you can show your support.

Win a £100 rail voucher!
As part of Rail Day, members of Community Rail Network, along with all station users, are invited to tell us why your railway station matters to you. Show some love for your station by submitting a comment, a photo, an artwork or even a poem. A panel representing Community Rail Network and Campaign for Better Transport will choose our favourite entry to win a £100 voucher to use on Britain’s national rail network!
